Just as each jewel and timepiece is the beginning of a special story or celebration that builds memories over time, we feel so incredibly fortunate to have started our story and continue to build our memories here in Rochester, New York.
Drawing on his dad's experience running a watch repair service, David forged his own path in the world of diamonds and timepieces. For over 90 years our family has combined our industry experience and expertise with our passion for diamonds, jewelry and timepieces to bring the Rochester community a one-of-a-kind retail experience. We're great believers in following your passions and focusing on the enjoyment of life. That's the spirit with which we developed this inaugural issue of The ROC Report.
Inside you will see it is all about passions - not only designer jewels and timepieces - but in several other areas that ignite Rochester's passions. You'll see what's involved in creating a menu of new-to-Rochester dishes, the innovative support system Rochester has for families whose children display symptoms of ASD, how one of the top five jazz festivals in the nation "Xerox International Jazz Fest" started with over 200,000 attendees, and meet a family whose first-of-its-kind entertainment concept Radio Social began with an American dream.
As different as jewelry and timepieces may be from cuisine, arts and entertainment, sports, and physical care and emotional support systems in our community, the one common theme consistent among these diverse topics is a great love for Rochester and the people of our community striving to make a difference. Each of these is a true, living testament of the heartfelt feeling that it is not enough to be "about" or "for" Rochester, we ARE Rochester.
We are so grateful for the generations of innovation and leadership that have shaped Rochester into the community it is today. The future of Rochester is brighter than ever, and we feel so blessed to be a part of it. A very special thank you to all of you who choose to "Start your Story" with our family at Cornell's Jewelers.
~ David, Olivia and Michael Cornell
GREY IS THE NEW WHITE:

MAXIMIZING KITCHEN STORAGE:
Maximizing storage in the kitchen has always been towards the top of any client's list, and likely will continue to be. What's changing is new options tailored to fit your lifestyle. Custom cabinetry has always had the latitude of custom wood-based modifications and inserts, but European mechanisms have made a huge impact in the American market. Typically, in Europe, space is at a premium so you need to maximize what you have. Many clever mechanisms today appear flashy, but more importantly make it easier to access space which was once lost in tough to reach areas, or even make the ones right in front of us easier to use. As time progresses these ergonomic and space efficient mechanisms will change our perspectives on kitchen and bath design.GOING COMMERCIAL GRADE:
