We think of this kitchen design as classic preppy all-American style. The island in matte ebony paint creates a sleek and sophisticated contrast against the vintage nordic white perimeter cabinetry. This is a traditional “white” kitchen, but is softened by the brush strokes of the vintage glaze and relaxed door style. The new layout in this kitchen was a true transformation: creating visual contrast, cleaning up the sense of space and balancing the angles.
